IN HOME DOG TRAINING

With in-home dog training, the convenience, effectiveness, and personalized attention will transform your dog’s behavior right in front of your eyes. When you witness your dog’s progress and growth throughout the training journey, you will be filled with pride and satisfaction (just like I am!) Seeing them master new commands, overcome challenges, and develop good manners is incredibly rewarding. You become the proud owner of a dog who is not only well-behaved but also loved and admired by others.
Playful Balance Dog Training currently offers private lessons or a combination of lessons and day training. I evaluate every client and dog individually and put a great deal of thought into what will work best for each dog, though it may change throughout the training sessions. Through consistency, clear boundaries, and reward, I will teach you how to actively enhance your relationship with your dog for a long lasting, healthy bond which will result in a dog that is even more enjoyable to live with.
My goal is to educate and coach you to understand, utilize and put into use the new way of communicating with your dog to lessen frustration and result in a better behaved and happier canine companion!

Training Packages
Initial Phone Consultation
Complimentary
Once you fill out and submit the New Client Intake Form, I will reach out to set up a brief phone consultation. During this call I will learn more about you, the issues you are facing and the goals you would like to achieve. We will then choose a training package that fits your needs.
The Fundamentals - Most Popular Package!
(4) 1 hour sessions – $600 – (8 week program)
This is a great beginner program for those with busy lives who need a slower pace to training the basics. In this program, I will cover the training fundamentals through four, bimonthly in-home lessons. These lessons can be tailored for minor behavioral concerns. At the beginning of this program, you will be expected to schedule all four lessons (one lesson every other week) to ensure consistency and success. You will receive personalized homework, support and guidance throughout the program.
The Fundamentals program will cover:
- Loose Leash Walking
- Place Training
- Recall Foundations
- Muzzle Training (if needed)
- Minor Behavioral Concerns
Rudimentary Puppy
2 hours – $250
This singular lesson is aimed to jump start you into learning the basics to raising a well-rounded puppy. You will learn how to set basic boundaries, foster healthy socialization, continue house training and learn play training.
This lesson is best suited for puppies 5 months or younger.
Single Private Lesson
1 hour – $200
At the hour-long session, I will provide necessary training equipment and meet at a convenient location for both parties. This session is customizable to the dog and situation.
The Go Getter
(8) 1 hour sessions – $1,350 – (8 week program)
A program for the ambitious. This program will consist of weekly private lessons for two months. The initial 4-6 lessons will be in your home, and with the remaining lessons we will meet in various public locations to continue advancing your skills. To be successful in this program, you must put in the work every week!! In addition to the lessons, I will direct you to helpful videos, books and articles as well as provide personalized homework, support and guidance throughout the program.
The Go Getter program will cover:
- Loose Leash Walking (with a focus on public settings)
- Place Training
- Recall Foundations
- Intro to Play Training
- Muzzle Training (If needed)
- Handling and Cooperative Care
- Leave it
- Off
- Various Behavioral Concerns
Puppy Essentials
(3) 1 hour sessions – $700 – (6 week program)
This program includes in-home private lessons every other week for puppies 5 months old and younger. You will learn how to set basic boundaries, foster healthy socialization, continue house training and learn play training. We will also address any behavioral or house training challenges.
Day Training
Weekly training – $1000
This program is aimed at those wanting some extra support getting started on the path to success. Once a week (continuously for one month) I will pick your dog up from your home to train them in multiple public locations throughout the day. At the end of the day, I will bring them back home and do a short private lesson to show what was worked on and discuss what to continue working on during the week.
Note: Certain dogs may not be eligible for this type of training.
Trick Dog Intro
1 hour – $100
In this singular lesson, I will introduce you to the use of a clicker and show you how to teach basic tricks and fun tasks. This lesson is aimed at building a stronger bond between you and your dog as well as practicing timing to better aid future training.
Please note: Any travel distance exceeding ~30 minutes or 15 miles will be subject to additional fees.
